Ali Donahue

Ali is an Iowa native and a 2007 graduate from the University of Iowa. She earned a Bachelor’s degree in Health Sciences with an emphasis in biology and health coaching and is working on her Master’s in Health Studies and Health Promotion from the University of Alabama. In 2007, Ali moved to Dalton, Georgia to accept the position as Marketing Coordinator for the Northwest Georgia Healthcare Partnership.

A graduate of Dalton-Whitfield Chamber of Commerce’s Emerging Leaders Institute-Inaugural Class of 2008 and the Leadership Dalton-Whitfield Class of 2009, Ali is also active in Big Brothers/Big Sisters and Junior Achievement. A lifelong dancer and choreographer, Ali is a dance instructor at the Creative Arts Guild in Dalton and enjoys sports, traveling and the outdoors.

Ali is an avid runner and has completed two marathons and three half marathons as well as numerous short-distance races. Ali has been named “Runner of the Year” two consecutive years for the Carpet Capital Running Club and is an 2010 officer of the club. She serves as co-director for the Healthcare Partnership’s Bill Gregory Healthcare Classic road race which achieved over 6,000 registered participants in 2009.

Besides her family and friends, her work with the Healthcare Partnership is of utmost importance to Ali. It’s the Partnership’s mission to improve community health by identifying sustainable solutions to significant health issues via innovation, benchmarking and application of best practices. Ali feels it’s important for people of all ages to seek knowledge on every aspect of living a healthy lifestyle.

Ali was nominated by the Rotary Club of Dalton.
