Jessica Tullar
Jessica is a local government urban planner and serves as the Special Projects Manager for the City of Gainesville, Community Development Department. In this role, she provides support and assistance in planning, coordinating and supervising initiatives and special projects. She assists in the development and negotiation of agreements for special projects undertaken by the city and coordinates the implementation of the city’s redevelopment projects, neighborhood planning initiatives, and various grant-funded projects. As well, Jessica reviews and processes zoning and historic preservation applications, writes code amendments, and reviews and approves subdivision plats and development plans.
Jessica received her undergraduate education at the University of Georgia, receiving a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Geography, Magna Cum Laude, in May 1999. Following graduation, Jessica pursued a Masters in Geography from the University of Denver in Denver, Colorado before accepting a position with the City of Gainesville in late 2000. Jessica received her Masters of Public Administration from the University of Georgia in May 2005, and in 2007 Jessica earned her American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification.
Originally from the Atlanta metropolitan area, Jessica and her husband Brian and sons, Clifton (4-years) and Harrison (20-months), live in Flowery Branch, Hall County, Georgia.
Jessica was nominated by the Rotary Club of Gainesville.
